Qualé Magazine wanted to create a special piece about Elections that could spark conversations about civic participation with children and young people, preparing them to exercise their citizenship.
Starting from the script written by the magazine's team, we produced a whiteboard animation video here at the studio.
In this type of animation, illustrations are drawn in sync with the voice-over narration and together they form an infographic summarizing the text.
The process
Once the final script is ready, the voice-over is recorded and the first sketches for each planned scene are drawn.

Once the individual scene sketches are approved, the infographic layout is drafted, combining all illustrations and text into a single composition:
From this layout, a simple animation (animatic) is produced to show which part of the infographic should appear at each point in the narration.
Once the animatic is approved, the illustrations are finalized and the animation is produced.
